Busyness

Publicado en LinkedIn el 19 de marzo de 2023

“Busyness has become a status symbol. People also consider those who exert high effort to be “morally admirable,” regardless of their output.”

Could you imagine how our ancestors would look at us if we told them we dont work on the weekends?

Or what about our grandparents if we told them about retirement or accruing vacation time?

Even closer, talk to your kids about the creation of the hybrid work schedule and how we work from home…

The reality is that productivity has skyrocketed due to the advances in technology, boosting life balance in its process.

I couldn’t agree more with Marketoonist on this and instead of worrying about the future, the ever increasing productivity we can achieve as workers is something that makes me optimistic.

Gone are the days when productivity was all about “man power” . I for one welcome our high tech colleagues that have paved the way into the future of work.

Regarding busyness , I figure we still have a long way to go before it disappears, after all in order for it to do so , people need to be productive and a lot of the time they/we are just busy.

Let me hear your thoughts!
